Alexandra Walker

Alex grew up with a love for ballet and pointe, performing in the Nutcracker throughout childhood and into college as the “Sugarplum Fairy.” She has a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management and Dance from SUNY Potsdam and has been teaching intermediate to advanced ballet, ballet/jazz technique and lyrical for the past 15 years.

When she discovered her own interest in strength training, she knew dancers could greatly benefit from such training to safely gain strength, stamina and flexibility and to avoid overuse injuries. In 2019, she became an NSCA certified personal trainer and certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, and has since completed yearly courses in High-Performance Training for Sports, Hip & Shoulder Mobility, Loaded Mobility Training, Myofascial Compression Techniques for Injury Prevention and Better Movement, Conditioning Young Athletes and more. She enjoys learning new training techniques to bring to the studio and creating custom classes that blend the various techniques of strength training with dance technique.

Alex and her husband Scott live in Lockport with their two boys and baby girl. Alex is excited to start her first season at Relevé!
