Ava Lovsin began her dance education at the age of three, training at Joanne’s Dance Extension in Canton, Michigan. She studied various styles including ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, modern, contemporary, hip hop, and gymnastics/acrobatics. Ava competed both regionally and nationally for 15 years and participated in Cecchetti and Acrobatic Arts programs. She has participated in many summer intensives including Joffrey Ballet School, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, HOPE Cecchetti Council of America, Canadian School of Dance, and Dance Masters of America Student Honors Intensive Program. Ava represented Great Lakes Regional Dance Masters as the 2017 Teen Miss Dance.
To further her dance education, Ava moved to New York and is now a third year student at the University at Buffalo where she is earning her BFA in Dance. At UB, Ava has taken on roles such as Social Media Director for the dance department, as well as Assistant Director for Dancer’s Workshop. She has performed in various productions: Zodiaque Dance Company, Emerging Choreographer’s Showcase, ChoreoLab, Home and Away, The Center in Motion, Shutter Speed, and Dancer’s Wokrshop. She has also choreographed for shows including: The Center in Motion and Dancer’s Workshop. Ava is very excited to work with and share her passion for all styles of dance with the students at Relevé Dance Company!
