Brieanna is a lifelong dance educator at high-level independent high schools, as the owner/operator of a private studio and as a contracted regional choreographer. She has recently relocated to the Buffalo, NY area (her hometown) where her husband has taken the role of General Manager at Shea’s Buffalo. Her twin sons, Dominic and DJ, are thrilled to be home with family!
Brieanna most recently served as the Director of Dance at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA. At Episcopal, she developed a fully engaged dance curriculum which included day time classes and a capacity filled after-school program. She also choreographed all theatre productions and coordinated, directed, and planned all dance concerts.
Previous roles include serving as the Director of Dance at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, a private boarding school in Rabun Gap, GA. There she taught three levels of Upper School Dance, two levels of Middle School Dance and choreographed four major productions each year. These productions included a fully realized Dance Concert, a One-Act Play, a fully staged musical, and a nationally recognized Cirque Program – the first of its kind in the nation. She has also worked as the Education Director at the Highlands Playhouse, the second oldest theatre in North Carolina, and was resident choreographer for their summer productions.
In addition, she was the Owner and Artistic Director of the North Georgia Studio of the Performing Arts. There she created the region’s only comprehensive performing arts school. In addition to teaching a full load of courses (ranging in age from 3-18), she was responsible for all day to day operations including scheduling, hiring of all faculty, company management, parent outreach, enrollment, invoicing, payroll, public relations, box office management, event and production planning and all support staff hiring.
Brieanna is excited to be back in Buffalo and is happy to become more engaged in the dance and theatre community in her hometown. She is happy to be joining the team at Relevé Dance Company and looks forward to spreading the joy of musical theatre to the Clarence community and beyond!
